There is a 2gig essential download of instruments and sounds when you first purchase, download and install Logic X. After this there is an optional 40gig of sounds, samples, loops and instruments, all free and encompassing what you're asking about in your original post plus an awful lot more.

I am attempting to re-index GarageBand to access all these new loops. I trashed all the indexes and when I open up the loop browser in GB, GarageBand comes up stating that there are no Apple Loops available. I drag the "Apple Loops for Soundtrack Pro" onto the Loop Browser, a message comes up asking if I want to use these loops in their current location, I answer yes, and it indexes them into GB.
I can do the same for the original GB loops as well. The Jam packs are located in the same external firewire drive as the loops for SP. I have trashed the Indexes many times. I have not repaired preferences yet. Is there something obvious I've missed?

They're not in the same folder however. Would the folder hierarchy have anything to do with it? Do I need to place the Jam Packs at a different level?
